Holy Stitch!

In 2024 Geary and Hyde Design collaborated with Market Street Arts and Holy Stitch! to design and fabricate a number of artistic elements for a brand new creative hub at 1059 Market Street in San Francisco.

With the concept of “Willy Wonka meets street culture” we were right in our wheelhouse. A bright modern color palette and some trippy Art Nouveau inspired line work were applied to a wide variety of features. We designed and fabricated cabinetry, wallpaper, signage, custom mirrors and a lowrider inspired folding table.

We’re deeply rooted in the Tenderloin and creating a wild new space for creativity and fashion is something we are truly passionate about.

Subpar Miniature Golf

We’ve done extensive work at both of the Subpar Miniature Golf locations. They’re one of our favorite clients to collaborate with. Whether we’re designing models, play elements or adding lighting to existing portions of the course we’re always met with new and interesting challenges.

We work closely with Subpar to make sure we are building projects that can withstand the average 7 year old’s fun time. There are so many miniature engineering problems that require unique and creative solutions.

Included in this gallery are just a few of the many projects we’ve made.

Blowfish Sushi

In 2018 Geary and Hyde Design did it’s first restaurant redesign. Blowfish Sushi in San Francisco’s Mission District was looking for a design/build team to convert it’s dated interior into something more contemporary and modern.

Taking cues from waving ocean sea grasses we design an immersive environment using natural wood, velvet, CNC carved polycarbonate and LED lighting. We also refurbished old  tables and chairs to clean up the entire dining space.

All of the artwork and elements were built in our shop over several months and installed with only 7 days of closure for the popular sushi spot.

In the end patrons experienced a soothing environment with programmed lighting that elevated the 90’s era “Rock and Roll” sushi bar to an elegant dining experience.
